Training and Support

At Mindfulness for learning we value the input of your staff, children and parents and this is why we offer a personal approach to assist and guide you on your wellbeing journey.

Rather than providing you with a pre-packaged scheme of work we tailor our training to suit your individual setting, allowing for teacher autonomy, child-led initiatives and targeted parent and carer support. â€‹

From supporting Senior Leaders in building a Wellbeing Action Plan to helping teachers reflect on their own self care, Mindfulness for learning's range of training and support packages will provide you with the specific help you need.

All of our training and support packages are delivered in person and with a free consultation prior to the session start date.

We also believe that no setting should be unable to access this training and so we have three prices available:

  • a reduced price for schools who have very little funding

  • a standard price for those who can afford it

  • a higher price for settings that feel they can contribute that little bit more so that everyone has access to this support

To receive a price list you can message us.

EXPRESSION ROOM DEVELOPMENT

The Expression Room is an initiative created by our founder, Sophie Smith-Tong.

A room managed by a member of staff where children can go if they feel they need to talk - in groups or individually.

The journey begins with holding group sessions with the school council where decisions are made as to what your Expression Room may look like and what it will offer.

Alongside the school council we will launch The Expression Room and introduce the way it will work to your setting.

This development can take place over an agreed amount of time and will see you through from imagined ideas through to implementing and managing the running of The Expression Room.

MINDFULNESS FOR SATS

8 x 30 minute mindfulness sessions.

Are you worried about your Year 6's mental health in the lead up to their SATS?

What better way to support them in taking responsibility for their own self-care than to teach them mindfulness and help them to build up their own regular mindfulness practice.

Mindfulness is known to reduce stress and anxiety so will help to calm nerves, manage feelings of overwhelm and prioritise workload.

The mindfulness sessions take place regularly (8 weeks before their SATS is recommended to have a real effect) online or in class.

What schools say...

“The encouragement and advice you gave me, made me feel happy in what I was doing for the first time in a long while. You became my friend as well as the person I was inspired by, I'm grateful for that more than anything!”
